What is Digital Copy?
Digital Copy is a special offer, bundled with a DVD / Blu-ray product, which provides digital versions of the same full-length movie. You may transfer your "Digital Copy" to your PC or portable devices supporting protected WMV (e.g. Archos player).

Why did I receive a Digital Copy of my movie purchase?
It is a special offer from the publisher to help you fully enjoy the possibilities of watching your movie on a PC or a portable device.

How long can I keep my Digital Copy file?
You are allowed to keep the file as long as you like. You may delete it at any time, but then you will delete your individual license key as well. To transfer the movie again to your PC you will be prompted to enter the unlock code again. There are limits how often an unlock code can be used and how often a movie can be activated. This limitation is set by the publisher.

How many times can I watch the Digital Copy?
Once you activated your movie with your unlock code and did successfully transfer the movie, you can view it as often as you like but it cannot be transferred to another user´s PC.  You may synchronize your PC with portable devices supporting protected Windows Media Video, e.g. a Video Walkman™.

Is Digital Copy with PID™ available for Mac OS X?
Digital Copy with PID™ is currently is available for Windows XP (Home/Professional/Media Center Edition) with SP 2 or Windows Vista.

I do not have access to the Internet. Can I still launch the Digital Copy with PID™ application?
An Internet connection is necessary to activate your license. If you are not connected to the Internet, the application will display an error message.

Do I need to be online to view my Digital Copy?
An Internet connection is necessary to activate your license. Once the movie is unlocked you can watch the movie without an internet connection required.

What are the minimum system requirements to watch the Digital Copy movie on my PC ?
- PC or Notebook with Windows® XP (Home/Professional/Media Center Edition), SP2 or Windows® Vista and a DVD-ROM drive
  • Internet Connection
  • Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later
  • The DVD you originally purchased.
  • Windows Media® Player v10 or greater
  • At least 2GB free space on your hard drive
  • Administrative rights on local PC

Is a broadband connection necessary for this application?
No, you may use an internet connection with lower bandwidth as well to receive the license key for your movie.

Where do I find the Unlock Code?
Digital Copy with PID™ means the unlock code is embedded into original discs – and is automatically read by your PC. Sometimes, an unlock code can be found on a specially printed insert included with your DVD / Blu-ray, but this is not always the case.

How often can I use the Unlock Code?
Your unlock code allows you to activate the movie file,  depending on the limits set by the content owner you may be allowed to more activations.

How do I watch Digital Copy movie on my computer?
After the successful transfer of the file, click on the icon on your desktop which was copied there during the file transfer. Double clicking this icon will directly open Windows Media® Player.

What is the size of the Digital Copy file?
The average movie file size for 120 minutes is 1 GB and for 60 minutes it is 500 MB.

Can I transfer the Digital Copy to another format or device for other playback options?
Once the Digital Copy has been successfully transferred and unlocked on your PC, it can be viewed an unlimited number of times on only that PC. The PC version of the Digital Copy movie cannot be subsequently transferred to another PC, but it can be synchronized with your portable video player (needs to support protected WMV) through Windows Media Player.

Depending on the availability of license rights and rights management requirements, Digital Copy may also support other file formats.

Can I watch the movies in full-screen view on my computer?
While watching the movie on your computer using Windows Media® Player, hit the Alt and Enter keys simultaneously to view in full screen mode. To exit full-screen viewing, click on the Esc key on your keyboard.
